Marva Douglas, Board President

Marva Douglas, teacher/entrepreneur/writer/public speaker, model and actor is a native of Charleston, South Carolina and a graduate of Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, North Carolina. She has done further study toward a master’s degree in public and private management at Birmingham Southern College.

Ingrid Irons Brown

Ingrid Irons Brown, musician/vocalist/director is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She believes her calling in life is to teach, inspire, motivate and encourage through the vehicle of music. Known simply as “Ingrid” her mission in life is to empower people to believe in themselves and flesh out their unique giftings.

Sondra Coleman

Sondra M. Coleman is a native of Mobile, Alabama. A resident of Birmingham since 1976,she worked at a public utility for 19 years. Since then, she has been actively engaged in ministry. Previously, she was a pastor for 17 years and now serves as a Presiding Elder for her denomination. She also serves as the Director of Extensions for the Alabama campus of a North Carolina Seminary.

With an innate love for music and the arts, she is happy to be a part of the Aldridge Repertory Theatre Board.

Sharon Fugate

Sharon Fugate is a professional violist and violinist. She has played in orchestras in New York, Connecticut, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. A native of Dallas, TX, she is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and holds Masters degrees from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY and Columbia University.

Cheryl Hall

Cheryl’s play Blood Thinner appeared in Series G of the Strawberry One Act Festival in 2008. Her most recent play script; The Dowager Daughters of Transcendence produced at eta Creative Arts Foundation in Chicago, Illinois was nominated as “best play” by the Black Theatre Alliance Awards. For four seasons Cheryl was the voice of “Fadelia Walker” on Bodylove and director of Staying Well in Camberwell, both radio dramas produced by Media For Health.

T. Marie King

T. Marie King has recently joined UAB’s Alys Stephens Center ArtPlay staff as Program Administrator for the Institute of Arts and Medicine and ArtCare. This venture has afforded her the opportunity to merge her love of the arts with her passion for helping improve the conditions of the hearts and minds of young people.

Ken Moorer is a native of Fairfield, Al. He has been acting around town in various theaters for over 10 years. He has performed in To Kill a Mockingbird, A Raisin in the Sun, 12 Angry Men, Ruined and many more shows.

Ezra E. Shine is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He is employed with the Birmingham City Schools for over 17 years. Previously, he was employed with Bessemer City Schools for 9 years. As an educator, he believes in all types of non-traditional programs that will help students receive an education that best fit the needs of the individual. He has a passion for the Arts, Music and Theater.
