Ezra E. Shine

Ezra E. Shine is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He is employed with the Birmingham City Schools for over 17 years. Previously, he was employed with Bessemer City Schools for 9 years. As an educator, he believes in all types of non-traditional programs that will help students receive an education that best fit the needs of the individual. He has a passion for the Arts, Music and Theater.

Currently, he works as the Coordinator of Birmingham City School’s Dropout Prevention, Recovery, and Alternative Programs (6-12).Ezra holds Bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Human Resources. Mr. Shine attended Southern University and the University of Montevallo. He received his teacher certification in Mathematics Education at Miles College. Having received his Masters and Educational Specialist Degrees from Alabama State University in Administration and Supervision, he began his leadership role within the Birmingham City Schools. This prompted him to pursue an Educational Doctoral degree from Walden University. With the love of Aldridge Theatre as a Board Member, he plans to use his educational background to share with students by motivating them to pursue the field of theater arts. Ezra E. Shine is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
