Marva Douglas, Board President

Marva Douglas, teacher/entrepreneur/writer/public speaker, model and actor is a native of Charleston, South Carolina and a graduate of Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, North Carolina. She has done further study toward a master’s degree in public and private management at Birmingham Southern College.


Marva is an Aldridge co-founder and is currently president of its board of directors. Her other civic activities include membership on the City of Midfield’s Zoning Board of Adjustment, a director of the Midfield Public Library, a member of Alabama Citizens for Constitution Reform, Inc. (ACCR Inc.), a member of the Transit Citizen Advisory Board (TCAB) and an actor with The Seasoned Performers, Alabama’s only senior theatre troupe. Marva is a retiree of a local public utility.
